Visiting
is fine but we are always glad to return
home to Page again. Besides that the
weather here is mild and the scenery
is spectacular!!!!!
Real Estate has been of great interest
to me since I was a young girl growing
up in Southern California. As a teenager
I used to surprise renters by showing
up brush in hand to paint apartments
owned by my family. It was a rather
unconventional job for a teenage girl.
Later on after my husband and I moved
to Page we began investing in our own
apartments and real estate. Having rentals
allowed us to teach our five children
future work skills, as well as being
good investments.
Raising five children was an interesting
experience. At one time our children
created a wildlife bug and critter zoo
for the entire neighborhood! It was
very entertaining until a few critters
that were brought into the house managed
to escape! There was never a dull moment!
Through the years I have served in
the community, teaching Lamaze Childbirth
Classes, on the Page Hospital Board,
working in Cub Scouting and with Girls
Camp Programs, the PTA, school committees
and as President of the Page Unified
School District and with other organizations.
Being in a small town there have been
many opportunities to be as involved
as one wanted to be.
Having had my real estate license
for seven years and my BS in education
I wasn’t quite sure what I would
do when our last child left home. I
really like children and always thought
I would return to teaching but real
estate was also something I found interesting.
I decided on Real Estate and have been
glad I did. We have a great team at
Coldwell Banker at Lake Powell which
makes it a very good working environment.
I enjoy meeting people and find it challenging
and exciting to be able to help clients
find what they are looking for in real
estate. My goal is to make the experience
as enjoyable and easy as possible for
both buyers and sellers.
Page is a great place. In addition
to the people, there is so much here
to do. Our family has had a lot of fun
times boating and camping on Lake Powell
and four wheeling through some of the
amazing places in our area. We have
also enjoyed hiking and visiting many
of the national parks which can be visited
in a day trip from Page such as Bryce
Canyon, Monument Valley, Zion’s
and the Grand Canyon. One of my favorite
day trips is a ½ day river trip
on the Colorado River to Lee’s
Ferry. There are several tour companies
here in town that offer hikes down some
of the amazing slot canyons. As one
visitor recently told me, “Visiting
Page was an experience I will never
forget!”
I like history and have traveled to
many places (I have visited most of
the 50 states and all of the seven continents
except for Antarctica and Australia-
so far.) I also Scuba Dive and found
I don’t mind swimming with sharks
as long as they aren’t bigger
than I am! Sometimes I take where I
live for granted. But when I leave I
miss the wonderful blue waters of Lake
Powell, the magnificent red cliffs and
the gorgeous sunsets. Enjoying life
along the way and the quality of ones
life I have come to realize does matter.
And I always return feeling very fortunate
to have been able to call such a beautiful
place - HOME.
