My name is Kandy
Barr and I have been a Page resident for almost
20 years. I love it here at Lake Powell and wouldn't
want to live anywhere else. I grew up in Escondido,
Ca. and when I was 16 my family relocated to a
small town in southern Utah called Parowan. Talk
about a major change! Very small town but very
|
beautiful and through
friends I met there, I found out about Lake Powell!
I have been a bartender for most of my working
life and have really enjoyed the recent career
move into real estate. It's challenging and I
have met so many new people from all over the
place.
My favorite things to do are house boating as
often as I can, fishing, travel, spending time
with my family (I have a really fun family!) and
spending time with my other family, Kittykakes,
Kokogigio and Stinky, my three small dogs as well
as Zoey and Agent Orange my two cats and I can't
forget Jimmy the turtle, who lives in my pond.
I love gardening and have a pretty good green
thumb. I love a good scary movie, playing poker
with my friends and being in the sun. I love to
be outside. |

WE
SUPPORT CONCERNS OF POLICE SURVIVORS

Each year, between 140 and 160
officers are killed in the line of duty and their families
and co-workers are left to cope with the tragic loss.
COPS provides resources to help them rebuild their shattered
lives. There is no membership fee to join COPS, for
the price paid is already too high.

"There's
a public-perception challenge. I am committed,
as is Secretary Norton, to do whatever
we can to educate the rest of this nation
that this is still a wondrous place to
be, and there's more water than they could
ever really dream of."
